Heineken Saturday

The dutch would have us believe it is the biggest box office Saturday of the year and if we had got the teams we hoped for in a Barcelona v Man UTD and a Leinster v Munster it really would be the best day ever to make for the high stool.

But lets make the most of it and try to make some airgead anyways and enjoy the top class sport no offer

Mulholland's are paying a special 13/2 enhanced treble on
Inter Milan to beat Bayern Munich-Champions league final
Cardiff to beat Blackpool-Championship Playoff final
Toulouse to beat Biarritz-Heineken Cup Final

Champions League Final
The special one goes to Madrid before he reportedly goes to Real Madrid. The manner in which they stopped Barcelona has made them hot favourites here. I can't be so sure and over 90 minutes and with Robben at the top of his game and Olic liable to get the better off Walter Samuel at least once I fancy a bet on Bayern to win it. Ribery is missing for Bayern but at the prices and the dangers that Bayern possess they are worth the bet. One team will complete a treble as both sides have domestic league and cup doubles but Bayern, who only ganied momentum after that unbelievable win in Turin 4-1 aganist Juventus have ridden the crest of a wave since November. If Inter win, it could be the second time Mourinho walks out on his winning side after departing Porto for Chelsea in 2004.

Verdict: Bayern at 11/8 to lift the trophy is the safe bet.

Heineken Cup
Toulouse are hot favourites and rightly so in my opinion. I can't see Biarritz getting near them and expect Toulouse to roll them over. Traille is out but Harinordoquy has been passed fit to play. I would take that with a pinch of salt and wouldn't expect the number 8 to be a full fitness. Toulouse have all the quality for cup rugby with a backline boasting Poitrenaud, Clerc,Jauzion, Heymans and Skrela. Last week's Top 14 semi final defeat to Perpignan will fire them on even more but it has been the Heineken cup this season they have looked the more impressive destroying Stade Francais and defeating champions Leinster. A form line between the semis and the Magners semi last week puts Toulouse in front comfortably, rugby may not be an exact science like that but I just can't see Biarritz stopping the Toulouse attack.

Verdict: Toulouse -6 10/11

Championship Playoff
Two teams can just smell the money but only one will get to pig out on next season with Deloitte saying the game is worth £90 million to the victor. Ian Holloway has performed miracles to get Blackpool to the final and will no doubt stay true to his attacking policy. Charlie Adam has been the key figure on the pitch but he has not got into the games as of late. A booking away from been suspended has been hanging over his head but now in cup final mode he can throw caution to the wind. This could actually be the most entertaining game of the day and case of the starter being the best meal on offer.
Verdict Back a goal feast over 2.5 is Evens Over 3.5 is 5/2

And finally for race fans its Irish Guineas weekend at the Curragh and Mulholland's have enhanced Steinbeck(2000 Guineas Sat) & Music Show (1000 Guineas Sun) to 18/1

My personal choice is Blue Maiden in the 1000 Guineas with Fallon on board at a nice price each way.
