Galway festival day one

Its a tentative start and forgive me if I don't fill you with confidence with my selections but my main tip for today would be don't go broke on Monday. There's seven days of battling so we can't win the war today. I have a few hot ones for later on in the week, so stay tuned.

5:10 Cabernet Sauvignon
5:45 Bremen
6:20 A Word Apart
7:00Cyborg
7:35Cinnin Oir( reserve may not get in)
8:05One For Joules
8:35Mister Music Man (reserve may not get in)

Yes when you see two reserves put up, you must be wondering is this lad having a laugh, but hey, they're less likely to lose. No seriously, I simply don't fancy anything else in the race and if these horses got in, they'd have serious chances.
A Word Apart is a real no brainer. Dermot Weld maiden with Pat Smullen in the saddle, they don't lose do they? He has already been well backed with a little 11/8 last night disappearing fast. O Brien's horses don't look up to much so far.

Cyborg in the big race of the day has Katie Walsh who is now challenging Nina Carberry for her superwoman throne. Big wins at Cheltenham and Punchestown have convinced Charles Byrne to give her the ride and off a nice weight is the most obvious winner

My best bet and a nice price is Bremen. This ex Hobbs horse is best suited to fast ground and although its officially yielding at Galway, there has been no rain these last few days and with a fast draining system, it will be quick jumping ground and he's definetly worth a go for the new stable. His recent win is a big plus that they have got a new lease of life out the 7 year old
