There hasn't been this many good fillies on the one stage since I was"reluctantly"dragged along to that Girl's Aloud concert
Lillie Langtry like Nadine Cole is the Irish member. On paper looks the most talented and not carrying as much weight as the older brigade.
Special Duty like Sarah Harding is the controversial member having won both the French and English 1000 Guineas despite coming second in both. The stewards promoted her to first in both cases because of interference. She looks the part but I'm not convinced and have her a true second again.
Strawberrydaiquiri is the redhead of the group( Nicola Roberts to anyone interested). Very underated and gets better with age winning a big prize at Royal Ascot last time. She has her chance but she may feel out of her depth in this field. Ryan Moore is on top( of the horse) and is riding(horses) fantastic at the moment.
Rainfall like Cherly Cole slayed all the men last time at Royal Ascot. The nations darling has great similarities to this horse but hopefully isn't under the weather like her as today is the big audition now to the road to stardom. At first Cherly wasn't seen as anything special but now look at her. Rainfall with Dettori in the saddle tries an extra furlong today and if she finds it could be an absolute star beating this top class field.
I personally like the one closest to Kimberly Walsh. Her similarities are with Spacious, the oldest in the field. It looked to have Strawberrydaiquiri in it's sights last time and just failed to get past coming from too far back. She has been in other fillies shadow and it takes a true punter to appreciate her true worth. She is worth a chance in a field like this at a nice price at 10/1
Two horses that missed the Band are the ironically named Music Show and Gile Na Greine. Music show would of been a great horse to compare to Cherly Cole except its nowhere near as good and Gile na Greine would easily be one of those girls that did miss the band as its consistent without any star quality.
There's top class racing all week at Newmarkets July meeting and stay tuned for more tips
Wednesday's Racing- Wednesday's Prices
