It was another successful night in the Salthill Hotel with over 500 people in attendance. It was the first appearance of Barney Curley in public since "that" gamble and he chatted about it as well as signed copies of his new book The Sure Thing: The Greatest Coup In Horse Racing History. On the night he was challenged about his part and there was a fantastic exchange between himself and Paul Kealy of the Racing Post who had written a damning article on the whole affair.
