Galway Races Day 4

I've had 5 winners so far but to be honest, I haven't fancied anything too strongly at Galway until today. Today is the day the ladies try to win best dresses after maxing out their credit cards and while If your married to one of those fillies, you'll be trying to win some back today.

The best bet of the meeting so far for me is Armaramak in the 2.25.I backed this last time out and if the information is right, he should win again today. He looks a solid jumper and should relish the ground and trip and has Andrew McNamara in the saddle. A good week will be had by all if this clicks.

In the hurdle, it looks a competitive renewal with Dirar shortening up and being well backed in all the shops and now favourite. Gordon Elliott has a poor record at Galway but yesterday Hoopy hit the target. Overturn has a Scottish hurdle to his name and is a fluent jumper but not sure will he enjoy an uphill finish. Luska Lad is the class horse in the race, Fisher Bridge looks to have a fantastic handicap mark and Gloucester might get involved at a nice price each way but I'd stick with last year's winner Bahrain Storm who won his prep at Tipperary on route. He has a bucketload of weight this time but he really comes into form at this time of year and has already shown a love for the track which is half the battle

1:50 Chicago Grey
2:25 Armaramak- Best Bet

4:10 no selection
4:50Bahrain Storm
5:30Force Of Habit
6:05 no selection

At Goodwood, the big race is the Goodwood Cup over 2 Miles and Aidan O Brien's Age Of Aquarius looks to go one better than his Gold Cup second. No Rite of Passage to beat today and he had most of his rivals for today way back. He has a string of 2's to his name however and has been difficult to win with and I can see another Bridesmaid showing with Kite Wood spoiling the party. A nice price and at at better distance, take Dettori to get him in the shakedown each way. I won't get a chance to keep you up to date with the rest of the weekend as I'll be busy on the track but make sure to get no Down +4 no the handicap. Midday is the bet of the weekend in the Nassau stakes. Mister Music Man should win on Saturday at Galway and I'd give Evens and Odds a squeak in the Stewards Cup.
