Sunday Sky Sports One 4:00
Well I’ll miss all the weekend sport but maybe being in London I could blag a ticket to Stamford Bridge. Anybody selling tickets for face value? Chelsea’s defeat to Man City opened up the title race nicely only for Man Utd and Arsenal to make a mess of two simple fixtures.
Arsene Wenger’s insistence on not buying a Goalkeeper just keeps looking more stupid with every trophy less season that passes. I’m a big fan of Arsenal’s football and Arsenal’s prudence in the transfer market, but another half million extra to tie up Schwarzer wouldn’t of been too much a waster of their precious money. Making a profit each season is not going to cut it much longer with the Arsenal fans and let’s not forget, Utd’s baron period coincided with Ferguson’s reluctance to get Edwin Van De Saar for a few seasons, ironically another Fulham keeper.
Arsenal need a big match here and have won at Stamford Bridge before off bad results back in 2008. At 4/1 to 9/2, I’m really tempted to back Arsenal. Yes I know Chelsea are the likelier winners but backing Arsenal at 4/1-9/2( who knows, they might hit even bigger), you really do have to go against the crowd and take the inflated price on a quality side 2-11, Lets just hope Chelsea don’t get any shots at the near post!.
Verdict: Arsenal to win
