A New Season with John Mulhollands
Alan Mulholland is embarking on a new season with his Galway senior footballers as they take to the field this Sunday against NUI Galway at Tuam Stadium at 2pm. On the other side of the fence, his brother Eddie and his backroom team of odds compilers are deciding if they think this will be the year for the men in the West. Odds for this weekend’s match see Galway as 4/9 favourites and NUI Galway at 2/1 to come out victorious
Galway must plan this season without some familiar faces most notably Padraig Joyce but for the first time in 4 seasons Michael Meehan will be ready from the start of the new season. John Mulholland bookmakers has piled the pressure on Alan’s shoulders by making Galway the 11/4 favourites to win National League Division 2. The League campaign kicks off in a month’s time on Sunday 3rd February at home to Derry

All Ireland betting
Last season, John Mulholland
punters were very close to clover as the Galway hurlers and Mayo footballers
was a hugely popular antepost bet at 33/1 which saw both sides sunk in their
respective finals. It is 55/1 for both sides to go one better this year. If
Galway punters believe their underage success in both codes in the last few
seasons is ready to flourish, it is 210/1 that we have a Galway All Ireland
Double this season. For those that believe Donegal and Kilkenny will hold onto
their titles its 9/1 for a successful defence double
